The Port Angeles Fine Arts Center presents Surf, Skate, & Snow, an exhibit running from July 18 through September 7, with gallery hours Thursdays through Sundays from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This exhibit explores the connection between sport, design, and creative placemaking in harmony with the natural environment, showcasing works by both regional and national artists. From the legacy of Esther Webster, founder of the Fine Arts Center and pioneer in early ski culture, to contemporary artists using innovative mixed media and eco-friendly techniques, the exhibit highlights the ways movement, creativity, and reverence for the land come together. The Olympic Peninsula Audubon Society kicks off its 2025–2026 Backyard Birding series on Saturday, September 6, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Dungeness River Nature Center. This special program celebrates National Hummingbird Day and the recent designation of the north Olympic Peninsula as a Community Wildlife Habitat™ by the National Wildlife Federation. The event will feature remarks from NWF representatives and community leaders, followed by a presentation from Julie O’Donald, a Native Plant and Community Wildlife Habitat Steward. Julie will highlight the best native plants for pollinators and hummingbirds, along with design strategies for creating thriving bird habitats. Illustrated with her stunning photography, the talk will provide inspiration for bringing nature into gardens of any size. Admission is free, with a suggested $5 donation to support bird conservation and education programs.

On Saturday, September 6, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, the Clallam County Master Gardeners will host a free workshop on raised bed vegetable gardening at 2711 Woodcock Road in Sequim. Participants will learn about the different types of raised beds and how to use them effectively for growing vegetables. This educational program offers practical tips and techniques for creating productive and accessible gardens, making it a great opportunity for both new and experienced gardeners.

 

On Sunday, September 7, at 3:00 PM, the Sequim City Band will present Movies, Musicals, and Marches at the James Center for the Performing Arts, located at 506 N Blake Avenue in Sequim. This free concert will close the season with a lively program featuring film scores, Broadway favorites, and classic marches. Highlights include music from The Wizard of Oz and a special tribute to Wicked, celebrating its 20th anniversary along with its upcoming blockbuster film adaptations.

On Saturday, September 13, and Sunday, September 14, 7 Cedars Hotel will host the 7 Cedars PicklePalooza 2025, a street-ball style pickleball tournament held right in the parking lot. Matches begin at 9:00 AM each day, with teams of two competing across three brackets: Youth/Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. The entry fee is $25 per player, and registration can be completed online through the tournament page. This high-energy event promises a fun weekend of competition and community spirit in Sequim.

From October 17 through November 2, Olympic Theatre Arts presents an Agatha Christie classic filled with suspense, twists, and intrigue. The story begins with an announcement in the local paper predicting a murder at Miss Blacklock’s Victorian home, setting the stage for a mystery involving mixed motives, hidden identities, a second shocking death, and an inspector determined to unravel the case. With Miss Marple at the center of the investigation, audiences can expect a thrilling journey leading to a dramatic final confrontation. Performances run Fridays and Saturdays at 7:00 PM, with Sunday matinees at 2:00 PM. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students.

The Sequim Memory Café offers a welcoming space for individuals living with memory loss and their care partners to connect with others, share companionship, and take part in fun activities. This free event provides a relaxed, supportive environment that encourages social engagement. Meetings are held at the Mariner Café on the third Monday of every month from 2:00–3:30 PM.

 

The Breakfast Network, sponsored by 1st Security Bank, meets on the second Tuesday of each month from 8:00 to 9:00 AM at 1st Security Bank, 114 S. Sequim Avenue, Sequim. Open to all Chamber members at no charge, this networking event offers refreshments, coffee from Rainshadow Café, and an opportunity to learn about a featured business while connecting with other professionals to grow your network. The Dungeness Crab Festival is on Friday, October 10, 2025, in downtown Port Angeles, Washington. This free, three-day event celebrates the region’s maritime heritage and brings together local businesses, artisans, and the community. Activities include live music, a vendor market with 75+ vendors, kids’ activities, U.S. Coast Guard boat tours, a beer and wine garden, and plenty of food options—including the festival crab dinner and local seafood specialties. Downtown Sequim will once again host its festive Trick or Treat event on Halloween, October 31, from 3:00–5:00 PM. Families are invited to stroll along Washington Street from Creamery Square to 5th Avenue, collecting goodies from a wide variety of local businesses and organizations. Chamber Ambassadors and volunteers will be on hand serving as crossing guards to help ensure a safe experience for all the little ghouls and goblins. This free community tradition is a fun and safe way to celebrate Halloween while supporting local shops and enjoying the festive spirit of downtown Sequim.
