Ingredients:
– 1 medium yellow onion, chopped into 1/4-inch pieces
– 1 can whole berry cranberry sauce (This will be added right before serving)
– 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
– 1.5 lbs beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
– 1 or 2 beef bouillon cubes with two cups of water
– 1 large can stewed tomatoes
– Vinegar (red wine, balsamic, or apple cider vinegar)
– Optional: red wine (some may even be used in the recipe )
– Ketchup
– Rice or egg noodles to serve with.
Bring liquid to a boil, reduce heat to low, and cook stew at a simmer until the meat and vegetables are very tender, about 2-3 hours.
